Inner Beauty Tip

If you were to choose which gift would you want? Gift in a pretty gold box with a bow or a plain paper bag that looks like it has been used. Now be honest ... Would you like a pretty package, or brown bag?

I've played the game before a white elephant, where everyone brings gifts, and then get to choose one. And sometimes it's hard to decide. I have to choose a major that I think it might have something really good there or I have to choose one that does not look as good, but perhaps something even better? Because you never know!

I think that if they admit it, we attract a lot of nice bag paket.Smeđa May not even look like it was hardly anything there. But what if we find out what is actually inside of each of these packages?

And let's say that in a pretty gold box, we found a few rotten bananas brown, smelly, dirty socks and apples that rot too. OK, so it's not what we might expect. Right? Here was a pretty package and there was no rotten fruit and smelly socks. It is not good! So, let's say that's what we found in plain brown paper bag the bracelet. So, as we think about these packages I want to think about yourself. Some of us may feel like we're Plain Jane, boring person on the outside. From our external beauty we just might feel, we're easy. Yet we see people in our schools, our churches, and all around you in this really pretty package. However, sometimes those people who seem to put it all together, movie stars and rock stars, it may look perfect on the outside. But sometimes they could be dying or rotting from the inside. I must admit, I was one of those people. People might look at me and said, man it's got everything together. But inside I was dying, and there was not a true beauty inside. This is all the external beauty.

Nevertheless, May you feel now that you're just plain Jane. It does not look like anything special, you're not model material. You May not like certain parts of the body. Like me, May you have acne scars, or perhaps feeling the weight, or have other questions. But, you know what? Inside, God can cultivate inner beauty that radiates out. And you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, who changes his appearance. People are drawn to you because of the love you have for other people, for the love of Christ, who is in you.

I want to encourage you to cultivate inner beauty, the inner beauty that comes only from spending time with Jesus. It's so hard to have any time in silence, but it is so important to get away. We have music, we have a TV, we are friends, cell phones, so it is difficult to exclude. I know, because these past few weeks I did not pay attention to quality time with him that I needed. Sure I spent some time in the morning, but I really deep time of prayer and journaling.Vrijeme where I spend listening to God. I want to encourage you to spend quality time in prayer. Not legalistically, do not tell me we have to do this, this and that. However, spending this time with God, so that your inner beauty can shine through. And your inner beauty shine, no matter what they look like from the outside. Whether you're a great package or a plain package. You have the inner beauty that enhances the outer beauty God has given you.

I encourage you to read Psalm 139 more this week. She talks about how we are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are special, no matter what they look like from the outside, no matter where you are on your relationship with Jesus. You are special, and he wants you to know that it is today. I encourage you to nurture your inner beauty.
